An association of committed, dynamic and united tourism front-liners, capacitated with world class competitive standards.

 

Our MISSION:

  1. To undertake programs and projects that will upgrade and professionalize operations of tourism related services in Camiguin.
  2. To promote unity, collaboration and cooperation among those in the tourism industry and other entities engaged in tourism.
  3. To encourage and foster high ethical standards in business resulting in fair and honest competition.
  4. To provide representation in matters of government interventions on tourism related policies, rules and laws affecting the tourism sector of the province.
  5. To exercise dynamic leadership in promoting goodwill, understanding and fellowship within the tourism sector, both national and international.
  6. To intensifycommunity participation and environmental conservation.

Our OBJECTIVES:

  1. Identifies concerns, issues, programs and services where CTA can be of assistance to its members and to the entire tourism business community of the province.
  2. Develop viable programs and strategies to make the association a major catalyst in tourism development of the province.
  3. Establish linkages and institutionalize partnership with multi-sectoral tourism community, local and international.
  4. Fosters strong partnership with the Local Government Units (LGUs) and relevant national agencies.
  5. Upholding and promoting growth and development of tourism-related businesses in Camiguin.
  6. Lobbying for policies, programs, projects and issues affecting tourism and its business environment
  7. Nurturing a positive image of the association to the public.
  8. Integrate environmental programs in tourism activities.


 

FESTIVALS

1. PANAAD - Annual Holy Thursday and Good Friday activity. This is a gathering of people from all walks of life for a yearly devotion to spend the Holy week by walking the 64 km. circumferential rood and trekking the tedious old volcano as expression of penitence and spiritual enrichment.

2. SAN JUAN HIBOK - HIBOKAN - June 24 - Held to honor St. John the Baptist. Watersports, boat races and fluvial procession are conducted. Miss Hibok - hibokan is selected.

3. LANZONES FESTIVAL - Held every 3rd weekend of October - a two-day ground festival of agri-cottage industry products in exhibit; barangay beautification; indigennous sports; tableau of local culture & grand parade of the golden fruit found extra sweet in the entire province.
